My Philosophy
DEFENDING CONSTITUTIONAL FREEDOMS
-
It's Government's primary purpose to protect life, liberty, property, and provide equal justice for all; these rights may not be denied to abridged on account of race, creed, color, sex, or national origin.
-
It's Government's responsibility to ensure the right to bear arms is not violated; all persons have the right to defend themselves, their family, their property, and the state.
-
Election integrity is fundamental. Illegal voting practices and voting by non-citizens undermines faith in the Government's legitimacy; opportunities for fraud must be prevented.
-
Honor the service of our veterans, the police, and the military; they have kept us free and safe.
-
Constitutional principles must be taught in schools. School choice helps ensure educational excellence by effective competition. Parental rights should be respected in the upbringing and education of children.
-
Citizens should be permitted to succeed by their own hard work and merit; traditional values should be recognized and honored.
SUPPORTING FREE MARKETS
-
Small businesses are the backbone of the New Hampshire economy. Free markets and entrepreneurship drive continued economic advancement; they must be supported.
-
Regulatory policy must be made by the Legislature, not Agencies, thus limiting overbearing and unnecessary regulations which will cultivate economic opportunity.
-
Free markets drive technological development, permitting greater environmental quality. Wealthier societies are cleaner societies, so can maintain clean air, water, and lands, including parks and historic sites.
PROMOTING FISCAL & GOVERNMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
-
Maintain the New Hampshire advantage: no sales, income, or inheritance taxes; minimize user fees.
-
Work within the constraints of a responsibly balanced budget.
-
Promote affordable, reliable, and cost effective energy.
-
Conduct periodic reviews and restructuring of statutes, agencies and courts to adequately protect citizens' rights and security, and minimize untoward impacts.
-
Permit the government closest to the people to have the greatest control over local development issues.
